OUR NEW STUDY: In Utero SARS‐CoV‐2 Exposure Linked to Higher Risk of Neurodevelopmental Disorders

A new study has found that male but not female babies born to women who tested positive for SARS‐CoV‐2 during pregnancy were more likely to be diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder in their first 12 months. Roy has been appointed as the Ronald I. Dozoretz MD Endowed Chair in Psychiatry. Perlis’s research focuses on identifying predictors of treatment response in brain diseases and using these biomarkers to develop novel treatments.
