Liam McCrea is a Bioinformatician in the Perlis Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Center for Genomic Medicine. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Loyola University Maryland and a master’s degree in Bioinformatics from Northeastern University, completing his graduate training while working full-time. Since joining the lab in 2020, he has helped develop in vitro disease-modeling assays and analysis pipelines to identify potential therapeutics and predictors for neuropsychiatric disease. His work increasingly focuses on computational projects and draws on earlier research experience developing glaucoma treatments at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
