Pilar Verhaak is the Lead Clinical Research Coordinator in the Perlis Lab. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology from The Ohio State University. Her clinical research experience includes work on depression and the therapeutic potential of psychedelics, with responsibilities spanning IRB applications, manuscript preparation, data analysis, and coordination of collaborations with MIT, Vanderbilt University, and Northeastern University. Before joining Massachusetts General Hospital, she served as an Assistant Laboratory Manager at Ohio State, helping organize NIH-funded studies of cognitive development in children and overseeing research assistants and data quality.
